Maine Military Authority lays off 35 workers because of contract halt

The Maine Military Authority says 35 workers have been laid off because of problems with a contract with the Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority.

The walk is part of the Maine Credit Unions' Campaign for Ending Hunger. The mission is not only to raise funds, but also awareness about the issue of hunger in Maine.
