County school district reflects on safety as more students are killed in Texas shooting

Details continue to emerge about the school shooting in Texas this morning. Here in the County, local districts are reacting to the news.

Flooding and fear of contamination have restricted the picking and eating of fiddleheads in New Brunswick. But, according to officials with the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry, those harvested in the County are safe for consumption. Kathy McCarty met with a local picker to find out how the harvest of the local delicacy is going.

In respect for the victims of the tragic school shooting in Texas earlier today, Governor Paul R. LePage has directed the United States flag and the State of Maine flag be flown at half-staff immediately until sunset on May 22, 2018.

Governor Paul LePage is crediting a bicycle helmet for saving his life when he says he was hit by an uninsured driver last fall in Florida.
