12th Annual Planet Head Day and the 2nd Annual International Planet Head Day
Supporting space science, cancer education and cancer resources in a fun and imaginative way
We supply a bald cap or a free buzz cut from a local stylist; you choose your favorite planet, dwarf planet, or moon; one of our volunteer artists paints your head.
The event offers science programs, cancer information, door prizes, free pizza, and much more. Each Planet Head raises money for the local C-A-N-C-E-R support group through contributions from local businesses, organizations, and individuals.
This year, we will be joining forces with Szczecin, Poland for the second year in a row. The two Planet Head Days will be occurring simultaneously and will be broadcast from one sit to the other over video conferencing.
Donations may be sent directly to C-A-N-C-E-R by sending a check made out to C-A-N-C-E-R and sending it to PO Box 811, Presque Isle, ME 04769. You may also drop donations off during the event in Wieden Hall on the University of Maine at Presque Isle campus, 181 Main Street, Presque Isle, ME 04769, during the Planet Head Day event.
