As part of the month long Read To ME Challenge campaign, we are inviting children to come and listen to a reading time session. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The event is free and is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Houlton Literacy Committee, the Cary Library, and the Houlton Higher Education Center.

12th Annual Katahdin Area Celebration of Life Event

Katahdin High/ Junior School, Rt. 11, Stacyville, Maine
We would like you to join us collecting pledges to benefit the Celebration of Life fund that benefits cancer victims and others in area with major medical issues.
There will be a 3 mile cross country ski on the Bob Dyer Trail, snowshoe on the Nick Hall and Dustin Harris trails, two mile walk, children outdoor games, spaghetti feed, silent auction items, raffle items. and door prizes provided by local merchants. There is a $20.00 donation and first 100 will get a t-shirt. Cash donations accepted.
The money earned goes directly to people with cancer or other major medical issues. There is a 3 mile ski on the Bob Dyer Trail, shoeshoe on Nick Hall and Dustin Harris Trails, outdoorgames for children, two mile walk, spaghetti feed, silent auction items, raffle items, door prizes all donated by local merchants.

The Caribou Historical Center & Museum is pleased to present from our archives the history of the fiftieth anniversary of ‘Caribou Becomes a City,’ and the changes brought about by ‘The Caribou By-Pass,’ and downtown ‘Urban Renewal.’ This spans the years 1967- 1973 when great changes came to Caribou. The display will be open each Saturday from 12:00 - 4:00 pm during the months of January and February. We are located at 1033 Presque Isle Road, Caribou, about a half mile south of The Caribou Inn. All are welcome.
