Bangor woman faces charges after allegedly taking gun from officer

BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - A woman who was shot by a Penobscot County deputy three years ago is back in jail.

Police say this time she grabbed an officer's gun while in the emergency room over the weekend.

23-year-old Alexis Lannon of Bangor is charged with criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon.

That's the same crime she was accused of in 2015 when she tried to confront a deputy in Carmel with a homemade weapon described as a metal object on the end of a rope.

During that incident she was shot.

Lannon was found not competent to stand trial at that time.

A hearing will be held Monday to determine if she'll be allowed bail.
