Fiery Crash Sends One Man to the Hospital

Wicklow, NB - An Accident between a car and a potato truck just north of Florenceville-Bristol, N.B. has sent one man to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A car caught fire and was engulfed in flames following a collision with a potato truck on Route 130 in Wicklow, N.B.

The crash occurred shortly before 8 a.m. on September 23, when a car travelling south on Route 130 collided with the rear of a potato truck travelling in the same direction. The driver of the vehicle, a man in his 30s, was able to escape the car before it caught fire and was transported to hospital with injuries believed to be non life-threatening. The car was completely destroyed.

The initial investigation reveals that excessive speed and reduced visibility due to fog were contributing factors. The driver of the car has been fined under the Motor Vehicle Act.

The investigation continues.
