Houlton woman arrested after attempted break-in

Police say 29 year old Nicole Hall has been arrested in connection with a string of burglaries in Houlton.

On Wednesday, December 14th at 5:16 am, the Houlton Police Department responded to a call of an intruder attempting to enter a residence on Wilson Avenue.

After a brief confrontation with the home owner, the suspect left the area on foot, leaving behind a vehicle in the driveway.

The vehicle was later determined to have been stolen from Jennifer York of Houlton.

While on route patrol looking for the suspect, an officer was approached by a resident on Franklin Street. The resident reported their 2008 GMC pick-up was stolen from their yard just moments before. Police believed is was stolen by Hall.

A few moments later, another officer was able to make contact with Hall who was in possession of the stolen 2008 GMC pick-up truck.

Police say they proceeded to Linneus, recovered the vehicle and made contact with Hall.

According to police, Hall became uncooperative but was arrested without incident.

Police say she was arrested and charged with burglary, theft by unauthorized use of property and operating after habitual offender revocation.
