ASHLAND, Maine - This weekend, Congressman Poliquin presented the family of Korean War veteran Richard Bragdon in Ashland with four medals to honor his service to our country.
“It was an honor to posthumously present four medals to the family,” said Congressman Poliquin. “Richard Bragdon, an Aroostook County native, served our Nation with dedication and I was pleased to present the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal with Bronze Star Attachment, the Combat Infantryman Badge 1st Award and the UN Service Medal to his family. We thank him and his family for their sacrifice and commitment to our Nation and defending our freedoms.”
Bragdon passed away at 87 years old in October 2016.
