Limestone man arrested on Maine Turnpike with significant amount of drugs inside car

State Police say a Limestone man was arrested early this morning on the Maine Turnpike with a significant amount of drugs inside his car.

Also in the car was the man’s 12 year old son and the family dog.

37 year old Alan Dziob was arrested by troopers and taken to the York County Jail. This was the second time in just over 72 hours that Dziob’s car was stopped on the Turnpike for drug violations. Thursday night about midnight, his car was also stopped in Litchfield.

Troopers said both times it appears Dziob was returning to Maine from another New England State, with cocaine, heroin, fentanyl and suboxone. The street value of the drugs is several thousand dollars .

Thursday night, the car was driven by Dziob’s girlfriend – 35 year old Krystle Buchiere of Limestone – and Troopers summonsed the couple after seizing the drugs, because a five year old child was in the car, along with the dog. At about 1:30 am Monday, the car was again stopped in Wells, with only Dziob, the 12 year old, and dog inside. This time after locating more drugs inside the vehicle, Dziob was arrested, the dog was taken by an animal control officer and Troopers drove the boy the 330 miles north to his Limestone home.

Dziob faces six drug trafficking charges.
