The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency has charged five people with Unlawful Trafficking in Heroin/Fentanyl and Cocaine.
Arrested were 20 year old Ales Mena of Lawrence, Massachusetts, 25 year old Glenn Hagan of Biddeford, 34 year old Kimberly Lermond of Brunswick, 21 year old Devyn Pushard and 19 year old Molena Ward, both of Bath.
According to the MDEA, agents were following up on the investigation after a non-fatal overdose was reported in Bath on Sunday.
Drug agents conducted surveillance of Devyn Pushard as he traveled from Bath along with Molena Ward and Kimberly Lermond to the Walmart parking lot in Biddeford Monday afternoon.
They continued the surveillance until Glenn Hagan arrived delivering 42 grams of suspected heroin/fentanyl to the three.
All four were taken into custody without incident.
Agents also searched Hagan’s Biddeford apartment and seized approximately 140 grams of cocaine, 180 grams of heroin/fentanyl, 9 firearms, and $4,860 dollars in suspected drug proceeds. The estimated street value of the drugs is $41,000.
According to police, an undercover agent met the suspected supplier, Ales Mena, at the Maine Mall in South Portland. Mena was arrested as he delivered about 50 grams of suspected heroin/fentanyl to the agent . Mena was transported to the Cumberland County Jail where bail was set at $25,000 cash.
