Maine State Police say one man has been arrested and another is being sought in North Carolina in connection with last week's shooting death of a Millinocket man.
38 year old Christopher Murray was arrested yesterday in Maxton, North Carolina. 43 year old Tony Locklear, who is believed to still be in the Maxton area, is still being sought.
Police say that both men live in the Maxton area.
A team of five State Police detectives arrived in North Carolina Wednesday afternoon and Murray was arrested in a vehicle a short time later with assistance from the Robeson County Sheriff's Office.
Murray is being held as a fugitive from justice. He will face a murder charge upon his return to Maine, as will Locklear, once he is apprehended.
The two men are being charged in connection with the shooting death of Wayne Lapierre, who was shot inside his Millinocket home on December 19. Lapierre's wife was also wounded in the home invasion.
