Medical Monday

PRESQUE ISLE, Me.- Three months ago, Governor Paul LePage was one of only seven state governors who did not sign the National Governor's Association's Compact to Fight Opioid Addiction. The governor has been outspoken in rejecting the initiative primarily because it failed to include a law enforcement component and encouraged expanding access to naloxone, a treatment for opioid addiction.

In this week's Medical Monday, Shawn Cunningham sat down with Department of Health and Human Services Director Mary Mayhew to discuss the the governor's intentions at length.
