NY woman charged in Cherryfield murder to appear in Maine Court

A New York City woman accused of killing a woman in Cherryfield has been returned to Maine and will appear in court this afternoon.

19-year-old Quaneysha Greeley is one of two people accused of murdering 55-year-old Sally Shaw. Shaw's body was found along Route 193 in Cherryfield last month.

Greeley had initially refused to waive extradition to Maine and was being held without bail in Queens until yesterday.

Carine Reeves has also been charged with murder and is still being held in New York.

State police have not released how Shaw died, but her death was classified as a homicide. Police say a car rented in her name was found crashed several miles away from her body.

It’s still not clear if Reeves or Greeley knew Shaw.
