Pets killed in Littleton fire

The Littleton Fire Depatment says several pets died after a house fire in on Wednesday.

Littleton Fire Chief Dwight Cowperthwaite said that the fire was located at the home of Richard Kneeland and Karen Heath on the Foster Road.

He says that the two were not at home at the time.

Firefighters spent more than three hours trying to extinguish the fire.

There were no injuries, but Cowperthwaite says several dogs and a cat perished in the fire.

The home was valued at $20,000 and was not insured.

The chief said he was not sure what caused the fire.
