Second bomb threat at Katahdin Elementary School in two weeks

State Police responded to the Katahdin Elementary School in Stacyville this morning for the second bomb threat in the last two weeks.

School officials reported the incident to the State Police Barracks at approximately 9:05 am after a student saw the message and alerted staff.

Both the High School and Elementary Schools were evacuated until the school could be deemed safe.

School officials and Troopers along with a State Police Explosives Detection K-9 checked the school and found no evidence of explosives in the school.

This investigation is currently active and ongoing.

The message again was found written on the wall in the girls bathroom.
