Six people forced out of their homes after Edmundston fire

Six people were forced out of their homes after a fire broke out at an apartment building in Edmundston late last night.

Dan Bedell, the communications director for the Canadian Red Cross in the Atlantic region, says that there were no injuries from the fire.

On his Twitter page, Bedell says that the fire damaged part of the four-story apartment building on Saint-Francois and d'Amours Street.

Bedell says that emergency lodging, food, other aid was given to four people from Red Cross Canada. He says that a fifth adult made their own arrangements and the sixth was away at the time of the fire.
