Taste of the County: Maple Buffalo Chicken

Ingredients:

Chicken tenders or chicken breast
½ stick of unsalted butte
Emeril's Southwest seasoning
Garlic pepper
Salt
Chili powder
Maple syrup
Franks hot sauce

Cut chicken in half and bake them in the oven for about 30 minutes. Put some Emeril's Southwest seasoning on the chicken to give it a little flavor. To make the buffalo sauce, start this with a half a stick of unsalted butter and melt it. Add a few more dashes of Emeril’s Southwest seasoning, some garlic pepper, chili powder and salt for a little added taste. From there, it's maple syrup and hot sauce. Rene typically uses a 2:1 ratio, adding more syrup than hot sauce, but it’s really a personal preference.
