NEWRY, Maine (WAGM) -The Tough Mountain Challenge race covers four miles of mountain terrain with fifteen different challenges full of mud, water and climbing. Racers were spread out throughout the day. Many competitors from the County attended the event but not all were able to finish. The race was called at 2:45p.m. due to severe weather. Those participants who weren't able to complete this year's challenge were automatically enrolled for next year's event free of charge. The kids tackled the Mini Mountain Challenge on Sunday proving to be the toughest of all. If you are interested in tackling the mountain yourself you can check out the race at www.toughmountain.com.
