PRESQUE ISLE, ME-- University of Maine Cooperative Extension will hold an agricultural field day Aug. 8, from 8 a.m.－3 p.m., at UMaine Aroostook Research Farm, 59 Houlton Road, Presque Isle.
Open to all agricultural providers, the event features presentations on potato cultivation and varieties, nutrient management for growth and yield, foliar late blight control, and the potential role of pests in Dickeya transmission. Presenters include UMaine Extension assistant professors of sustainable agriculture Sukhwinder Bali and Lakesh Sharma, UMaine assistant professor of plant pathology Jay Hao, UMaine professor of entomology Andrei Alyokhin, and UMaine professor of agronomy Gregory Porter.
