Woman Tried to Open Exit Door on Flight from London

Boston, MA - A female passenger on a Boston-bound British Airways flight was restrained after she tried to open an exit door. The flight had departed Heathrow Airport in London Tuesday morning.

The woman was described in a statement by the airline as abusive and unruly, "Our customers and crew deserve to have a safe and enjoyable flight and we do not tolerate abusive behavior."

The plane landed at Logan Airport at 1:29 p.m., where it was expected to be met by Massachusetts State Police, the Joint Terrorism Task Force and Homeland Security agents.
