PRESQUE ISLE, Me (WAGM) - Bikers gathered in Presque Isle for the first of two days on the trails at the 13th annual Nordic Trail Festival.
It was a fun event for all ages as you can see here. Friday kicked off the festivities with the downhill race and short track race. The downhill race consisted of two runs down the hill at Quaggy Jo and Dan Schall had the fastest combined times at 1:54. Renee Folnsbee was the fastest woman at 2:17 and Jonah Cushman won the kids division, he finished the two trails in a time of 1:57. The event will continue at Nordic Heritage Center Saturday with the six hour mountain bike race and six hour trail run along with some kids competitions. Race organizers say there will be plenty to do if you're not competing, as there will be games, music, and plenty of food to go along with the competitions taking place.
