(Mike Bisson):" The schedule is set for our championships. We are in really good shape. We met last week with all the sites and everybody seemed ready to go."
The Class B Giant Slalom races will be held on Monday and the Slalom events will be held on Tuesday. On Wednesday the Class B and C Nordic Skiers will be in Fort Kent the Classic race and then on Thursday the MPA will use a new format to crown winners.
Bisson:"A change in the format this year where the second day will be a pursuit format. The committee and the ski folks are pretty excited about the change. That we will know on the second day who is leading versus who is on the time. We will see because of the staggered start with the pursuit we will the winner when they cross that line."
In the Nordic event the skiers in the two classes will be going out on course together on Wednesday in the Classic event, but they will only be competing against skiers in the same class
Bisson:"They will be separated out of the race by the class they are in for the results. The second day we are running separate events for B and C we will run the B boys and the C boys and the B girls and the C girls."
