(WAGM) - Austin Theriault picked up more than just a win at the Road America 100 in Wisconsin last week.
The points leader in the ARCA series also clinched the Bill France 4 Crown championship. The Fort Kent native was proud of his team for being able to accomplish this. Theriault explains how the winner of that championship is determined and what it means to him to take home an honor in Bill France's name.
"That award in my opinion is a big deal because it involves so many different types of race tracks so the points go towards that award are road courses, dirt tracks, the super speedways and a short track as well. I think it shows how diverse we've been all year in our successes. Securing that this weekend was an honor. Bill France is well known in the racing industry. He's long gone now, but left his mark in racing and made it to what it is today. Without him I wouldn't be in a position to be racing and having the successes we are today," Theriault said.
