UMFK teams will compete for National Championships again this year

The USCAA National tournament begins next week in Virginia Beach Virginia. The University of Maine Fort Kent men's and women's soccer teams are the defending champions.
The bids for the nationals came out today and the UMFK women the four time defending championship are the top seed. They have a 12-1-3 record on the season and will play pool play with New Hampshire Tech and University of Cincinnati Clermont. Once again this year The Bengals will play on Thursday and Friday in pool play and the semifinals are set for Sunday and the championship game on Monday.
The two time defending champion UMFK men head into the playoffs as the second seed. The Bengals with a 14-1 record are seeded behind Bryant and Stratton of Syracuse. The two teams met on the season and the Bengals lost by a score of 3-1. UMFK Illinois Tech and Albany College of Pharmacy make up pool b. Once again the Bengals will play on Thursday and Friday. The winners of the four pools will meet in the semifinals on Sunday and the championship game is Monday.
The vollyeball team has been seeded ninth and is back at the Nationals again.
UMFK ended the year at 26-5. They will play top ranked Florida National, Illinois Tech, Carlow and the Penn State Athletic Conference Champions in pool play.
I will be traveling with the UMFK teams to Virginia Beach again this year. i will be filing reports beginning on Monday night and will have stories every night through the following Monday the 13th.
