WAGM gave me my start in the TV business and it was just a great experience for me. Every year at this time I think about the Potato Picker's Special and how much fun that was. I spent 40 years in the television industry. 30 of those years with NBC. When I started we really did say "Film at 11". Videotape and the 2" VTRs were just becoming available. In my years I've met and become close friends with many of the well-known reporters, anchors and some of the most respected names behind the cameras as well. Its good to see the "kids" go off on their own. Especially after you've trained them and then you see their faces on national news programs. Makes a person proud.
