Upland Game Bird Presentation

On Friday, October 13, Downeast Lakes Land Trust welcomes Maine IF&W wildlife biologist Kelsey Sullivan for a presentation on “Ruffed Grouse and American Woodcock conservation and management.” These upland bird species play an important role in the ecosystem, and are prized birds during the fall hunting season. Sullivan is concluding a major study on grouse and woodcock populations in Maine, and will be presenting early results of several years of the project. UMFK's Theatre's Fall Production of "The Diary of Anne Frank

Director Caryn Cleveland-Short and her talented cast of actors brings The Diary of Anne Frank to UMFK’s stage.

The story of the play is well known to many and focuses on Anne Frank, a Jewish girl who has to go into hiding during World War II to escape from the Nazis . Together with seven others she hides in the secret annex of a house in Amsterdam. After more than two years in hiding they are discovered and deported to concentration camps (www.annefrank.org). There will be four opportunities to see the play.

October 12, 13, and 14 at 7:00 pm and also on October 14 at 2:00 pm (matinee) in Fox Auditorium.

Tickets for the play are $10. UMFK students with a valid student ID get free admission.
