Weather on the Web Sunday
PRESQUE ISLE, Maine (WAGM) - Good morning Aroostook County and western New Brunswick! Sunny start to the day, but clouds will be increasing later. A weak storm system moves through the Great Lakes dragging a warm front through the region. This warm front will bring those clouds, southerly winds, and higher dew-points making it feel more humid this afternoon and evening and into Monday. There is a chance for an isolated shower or two this evening into early Monday morning.
Monday will have a better chance for showers with an isolated rumble of thunder possible. Dew-points will soar into the 60′s and even lower 70′s making it feel very humid or muggy and nearly intolerable to stand, so may need a big of help from the AC.
Middle of the week, we are keeping our eyes on Isaias as it moves up the coast. As of Sunday morning, it looks as if rain would arrive Tuesday morning near Portland and Augusta. Clouds would be increasing on Tuesday into the evening here in The County. The rain would then reach The County late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. There are signs of a good soaking for the region if the storm tracks along coastal Maine. If so, heavier downpours could be expected. Rainfall amounts look to be ranging from .50″(inches) to potentially 1.50″(inches) with localized spots of possible more. Nothing is written in stone, but track can change as the storm is still just southeast of Daytona Beach, Florida.
Make sure to tune in to WAGM each day for a complete update on the forecast of Isaias.
