“Maine Trump Victory” Opens New Office in Presque Isle
PRESQUE ISLE, Maine (WAGM) - Now just 87 days away from the Presidential Election between President Donald Trump and Joe Biden, the Trump Victory campaign opened its Presque Isle office earlier this morning. News Source 8′s Cam Smith has more on this event and how it impacts the County.
Volunteers and supporters of the Trump Campaign were in Presque Isle Friday morning for the opening of the Trump Victory office on State Street.
Trump Victory is a group affiliated with the GOP and is comprised of volunteers focusing their efforts to re-elect President Trump in the upcoming fall election.
“This Trump Victory office is a testament to the President’s commitment to stand up for every American in every corner of the country. The road to the White House passes through Presque Isle and that’s why we’re here to make the case for four more years.”
John Pence is the nephew of current Vice President Mike Pence, and also a senior advisor for President Trump’s re-election campaign. He says they are setting their goals even higher this election year.
“We believe that not only the second congressional district can be won for President Trump, but the state of Maine can be won. There are no shortcuts on the way to a great victory. That’s why opening up this office is so important. Getting volunteers to do the good and hard work of knocking doors and making phone calls. Even if we can’t be together all the time, we certainly can stay motivated and connected. And this republican party has shown that we are just as energized and enthused to re-elect president trump than we have ever been.”
Residents from all over Aroostook county were in attendance to show their support as well.
“I think it’s awesome because he came up here to a place that is pretty much remote in Northern Maine here. And he cares. The President cares about us up here. So, we need to work hard to help the Republican Party to succeed because we need these electoral votes to win the state of Maine for the President of the United States.”
“America is up for a vote in 87 days. And we’re going to do everything that we can as a growing republican party to knock doors, make phone calls, and get the vote out. And get those 22,000 votes we needed in 2016.”
Election day in the United States is on Tuesday November 3, 2020.
