PRESQUE ISLE, Maine (WAGM) - There is one new case of COVID-19 at UMFK. Asymptomatic testing revealed that a student tested positive.

UMFK President, Deb Hedeen, released this statement to the University on September 6th:

Dear UMFK,

We write to inform you that a student has tested positive for COVID-19 during our asymptomatic testing. The student is currently in isolation and we are beginning the process of having other students quarantine.

Please note that this student has not attended any classes in-person and is not an on-campus student. We will update you further as this evolves.
