Houlton, Maine (WAGM) - On Sunday, September 06 2020 Officer Travis Smith initiated a drug investigation involving a motor vehicle and known drug users. The investigation led Officer Smith to the North Road where he was able to make contact with the occupants and continue with the now roadside investigation. With the assistance of Officer Russell Scooby, the Maine State Police, the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office and the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency a large amount of illicit drugs and cash were confiscated resulting in three (3) arrests. HPD confiscated over 100 grams of suspected methamphetamine, over 250 grams of suspected fentanyl, several miscellaneous items of drug paraphernalia along with over 20,000.00 cash. The vehicle was also seized as a result of the investigation.
