Aroostook Partnership in the Arts Celebrates their Ongoing Community Art Display this Saturday
PRESQUE ISLE, Maine (WAGM) - The Community Art Display in Downtown Presque Isle has doubled in size since July. The Aroostook Parentship in the Arts is still accepting art for their community outdoor art gallery and they hope that people will use these uncertain times to reflect and create.
“Now more than ever, the need for art as a coping mechanism to deal with such uncertainty has proven a very helpful too for a lot of people, myself included. And if you look at this display, this art display, it’s like a window into our experiences here in our community, as the sorrows and the joys that have transpired during these very uncertain times" says artist Filomena Irving.
Canvases to paint are available at The Common Gallery through the Fall. The Aroostook Partnership in the Arts will also be hosting an outdoor rock painting event at Riverside Pavilion this Saturday at 10 AM during the Farmer’s Market.
