After 55 Years in Business, Reno’s Family Restaurant Set to Close Permanently
“Well it’s sad, I won’t deny that” says owner.
CARIBOU, Maine (WAGM) - After 55 years of serving up meals, Reno’s Family Restaurant will be closing up shop.
“Well it’s sad, I won’t deny that. It’s also time for us to slow down. We just picked this time to slow down, I hate to quit doing what I’m doing but I can’t keep this pace.”
Nelson Corriveau and his brother, Danny own and operate the restaurant. They say with recent guideline changes in light of COVID-19..things just didn’t feel the same.
“Remembering how we are, like in our dining room. Face masks, plexiglass shields, it’s just not what Reno’s was.”
Some of their favorite memories from over the years have been bringing smiles to anyone who comes to the restaurant.
Since announcing they would be closing they’ve seen a great outpouring of support.
“The situation, we’ve heard from people all across the country. It’s just been overwhelming, the response. The 55 years has just been great."
Reno’s will continue to serve customers until they officially close on September 30th. They say they’re sad to see things end, but they’re grateful for all the customers they’ve served over the years.
