PRESQUE ISLE, Maine (WAGM) -

The Aroostook Centre Mall is expanding its food court hours to give people more dining options later at night.

Mall Manager Bruce Brigman says both Pronto Burrito and Chopsticks, and the soon-to-open Sticky Buns, have extended their hours of operation as well. With many fast food places remaining closed to dine-in service, Brigman says this will give people more options to get out and enjoy a meal with loved ones. Social distancing isn’t a problem at the food court.

“We’re game to try anything, you know, to get customers in, and if it’s a help to the community. I mean, we have a lot of seating out there. Even though we blocked off half of them, we still have a lot of seating out there. So Monday through Saturday we’re staying open till 10 p.m. On Sunday, we’re staying open till 8 p.m.,” says Bruce Brigman.

Extended hours apply to the food court only. Pronto Burrito has also added delivery service. Brigman says with colder weather approaching, this will give folks more opportunity to get out and enjoy time with others. We’ll have more with Brigman on plans for the mall on a future edition of the news.
