Potato truck fire in Bridgewater

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine (WAGM) -Maine State Police responded to a potato truck fire in Bridgewater today. Officials say that the operator of the truck, 65 year old Reginald Shaw, noticed the truck was smoking, pulled over, and got out. He then noticed the truck was on fire due to potato tops stuck under the truck. Bridgewater fire put the fire out and was able to save most of the load. The truck is owned by Whited Farms of Bridgewater. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Brewers.
