Maine CDC reports 29 new cases of COVID-19, no new deaths

Aroostook County has 53 cases, 4 of which are active.


The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention reported 29 new cases of coronavirus and no new deaths on Monday.

There have been no new deaths since Friday, when the CDC reported a man in his 80s from Oxford County had died.

The 29 additional cases bring the total in Maine since the outbreak began to 5,752.

The Maine CDC said 4,998 people have recovered from the coronavirus, an increase of 47 since Sunday.

Active cases have increased from 610 cases on Sunday to 611 on Monday.
