Maine CDC reports increase of 36 coronavirus cases, 46 new recoveries

AUGUSTA, Maine (WMTW)— The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention reported an increase of 36 coronavirus cases on Wednesday and no new deaths.

The number of Mainers with COVID-19 who have died remains at 143.

The 36 additional cases bring the total in Maine since the outbreak began to 5,816.

The Maine CDC said 5,052 people have recovered from the coronavirus, an increase of 46 since Tuesday.

Active cases decreased from 631 on Tuesday to 621 on Wednesday.

Aroostook County has 53 cases, 4 of which are active.
