Ladies’ Ski Night Underway in Fort Kent
FORT KENT, Maine (WAGM) - Ladies Ski Night got underway on Wednesday, December 23rd in Fort Kent. The program encourages women of all skill levels to come out to Fort Kent Outdoor Center and ski.
Sarah Ashley helped to come up with the idea for the event a year ago, and she wants to get as many people involved this year as she can.
“It’s not as scary as it seems,” she said. “Skiing is a lifelong sport and it is not all that much different than walking. It is a lot of fun.”
The gatherings will be held every Thursday from January 7th to February 11th. Ashley says that she really encourages beginners to come and try it out.
“It’s a great way to get in some self-care,” she said.
The cost is $100 for non-members, $60 for members needing equipment, and free for members who already have equipment. If you have any questions you can contact Sarah Ashley at email@example.com or Laura Audibert at La4568@roadrunner.com. You can also check out the Fort Kent Outdoor Center Facebook page.
