Caribou Police Searching For Man With Possible Injuries

UPDATED RELEASE FROM CARIBOU PD (1-7-21)

On Thursday, January 7, 2021 at approximately noon, police received a call from a resident on the Caribou Lake Road indicating she just shot at an unknown male after an attempted assault.

She reported the male fled the scene in a black older style pickup with a visor above the windshield, possibly Ford, in an unknown direction. Caribou Police Officers and Troopers with the Maine State Police are seeking help from the public to locate the vehicle and/ or the male. The description of the assailant is a white male with longer, dark hair (enough to stick out of the back of the ball cap), a mustache and facial scruff wearing a blue Ford baseball cap. The male may have a gunshot wound to the left shoulder area.

CARIBOU, Maine (WAGM) - Caribou Police are currently searching for a man who may have sustained injuries after an isolated incident.

According to Sgt. Keith Ouellette, police are looking for a Black Ford pickup truck with a male occupant. He says the truck has a black visor above the windshield.

Sgt. Ouellette adds there is no immediate threat to the public.
