PRESQUE ISLE, Maine (WAGM) -The Temple Cinema in Houlton is opening their doors tomorrow after being closed for more than a year due to the pandemic.

Charlie Fortier , the owner of the theater, says that they will be opening with Cruella and A Quiet Place part 2. He says that the community is excited to finally get that movie theater experience again.

“Just positive response. Hopefully that will follow through with people showing up. Hopefully people will wanna take advantage of going out and being in public and and seeing a movie on the big screen without any distractions and they’re two really good movies to start with. I’ve heard nothing but fantastic things about them so we’re really looking forward to it.”

Fortier says that they will be asking people to wear masks in the lobby and bathrooms as a safety precaution but they can take them off in the theater. He adds that they will also be keeping lights on in the theater before the movie starts for those who wish to socially distance.
