CARIBOU, Maine (WAGM) - Kids and parents will soon be able to splash around Caribou’s new splash pad. Construction has begun at the Caribou Rec Center. Gary Marquis, Superintendent of Caribou Parks and Rec says this project has been in the work for many years now.

”A water feature has been needed in Caribou now since 2013 since we officially closed out outdoor pool and so it’s going to bring back water feature, it’s going to be huge with the new park. The kids are going to love it, parents are going to love it hopefully we see people constantly using the park,” said Marquis.

The splash pad is set to be open to the public on the 4th of July.
