BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - One man is dead after crashing his car on the interstate in Bangor just after 3:30 a.m. Friday.

Maine State Police say 39-year-old Anthony Monroe, Sr., of Old Town, was traveling south when he hit a guardrail near Exit 185, the Broadway exit.

His vehicle continued across the road, where it ran into the concrete barrier in the median.

Monroe was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say he was not wearing his seat belt.
