Remains of several children between 3-7 years old found by woman walking her dog
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC/Gray News) — The remains of three young children were found in a wooded area in Memphis, Tennessee.
According to the Memphis Police Department, the investigation began on March 8 when a woman walking her dog called police to report seeing what she believed to be a human skull in a wooded area.

Over the next few weeks, investigators accessed the drainage system from a nearby location and located what appeared to be another skull.
Investigators recovered more remains as they continued searching.
Memphis Police Chief C.J. Davis said the remains were bone fragments.
The medical examiner said the bones may have been there for a few years.
Davis said the medical examiner determined the remains were of three children ages 3 to 7.
Police are still working to identify the children and their causes of death.
The FBI is assisting in the investigation.
