NEW SWEDEN, Maine (WAGM) - The family of missing New Sweden teen Stefanie Damron is calling on the community for help. Stefanie’s family is organizing a public ground search this Saturday, July 25th, and is asking anyone who can help to show up. Stefanie was 13 years old when she disappeared on September 23rd, 2024. She was last seen walking into the woods near her home on West Road in New Sweden and has not been seen since. Her disappearance sparked one of the largest search efforts Aroostook County has ever seen. The FBI and Maine State Police have been investigating since day one. Despite those efforts, there have been no reported sightings. A reward of up to 15 thousand dollars is being offered for information leading to Stefanie’s safe return. Anyone with any information on Stefanie’s whereabouts is urged to call the Maine State Police Houlton Barracks at 532-5400.
