Threat posted after game announcement

According to investigators, around Oct. 5, a social media account under the name “Kase Utz” made a threatening comment in response to a Facebook post about Trump’s plan to attend the game that said, “He’s not allowed in my stadium! I’ll put a bullet through him if he dares.”

Investigators said the account was linked to Utz by matching the profile photo to her driver’s license photo, including a distinctive neck tattoo. Records from the social media company also matched her birthday and pointed to Florence.

Arrest followed foot chase

On Oct. 6, FBI and Secret Service agents with police went to the Salvation Army in Florence, where Utz was last known to be staying. Workers said she left in a light-blue pickup and might be at a nearby house.

Agents said they found the truck on Midway Street. Utz briefly opened the front door, then shut and locked it, and later ran on foot. Officers caught her about two blocks away.

Utz was arrested on a separate local warrant for harassing messages. Officers took an iPhone from her.

Investigators say she agreed to talk

Investigators said they read Utz her rights and she agreed to talk. She told them she suffered 18 concussions and had taken several prescription medications.

When asked about the post, Utz said she wanted her phone checked for hacking and blamed malware for the message. Utz asked officers, “How am I going to shoot him?”

Officers sent the phone to an FBI forensics lab for examination.

Prior police encounters noted in court file

The court file also mentions earlier run-ins with police, including a 2024 local warrant over harassing messages, a recent theft report where she was listed as a suspect and being removed from a rehab facility and the Salvation Army.

Utz will be arraigned in Birmingham on Nov. 4.
