Rob Koenig joined WAGM in January of 2022. He's new to the county, but not new to the state. Born and raised in Gray, Maine, Rob has wanted to be a meteorologist since 3rd grade. Having fallen in love with the weather at a young age, Rob was determined to go to school for his passion.
After looking at a couple of different programs in New England, Rob found the perfect place at Northern Vermont University – Lyndon (formerly Lyndon State College). He graduated in May of 2022 with a B.S. in Atmospheric Science, as well as an A.S. in Electronic Journalism Arts.
In his free time, Rob can be found exploring the county. A very amateur photographer, he enjoys taking pictures of the different sights across the state. He's also a big computer tinkerer, and enjoys figuring out new things that he can program on his own. While he doesn't have any series that keep him glued to the TV right now, if he finds something interesting he will be hooked until it ends.
Rob started as the morning meteorologist, providing forecasts for Rise and Shine and WAGM This Morning before being promoted to Evening Meteorologist in July of 2022. He's thrilled to be working with some of the best in the state, and looks forward to planting roots here in the county.
