Ashland police recover stolen trailer

ASHLAND, Maine - On the weekend of February 2nd a 20-foot, 2019 PJ trailer belonging to Doug and Lori Cray was stolen from Depot Street in Ashland. Cameras from the scene and from a local business provided leads. A social media posting provided numerous tips and had a great response from the public. Ashland Police Sgt. Jarad Carney, working closely with the Crays, was able to identify three suspects and later in the week obtain a written confession. Leads in the theft case spanned from Ludlow to Caribou and many places in between. On Friday, February 8th, the stolen trailer was located at an unoccupied property on the Grendell Road in Chapman.Two of the suspects are currently in custody at the Aroostook County Jail in Houlton, and charges are pending on the third suspect.
