Bus from Maine day care involved in serious crash on I-95 in NH

GREENLAND, N.H. (WMTW) - A bus from a Kittery day care was involved in a crash Friday morning on Interstate 95 in Greenland, New Hampshire.

The day care is part of the Kittery Community Center, officials said.

Thirteen people were on board the bus at the time- 10 students, two counselors and the 18 year old bus driver.

Three people were seriously injured, including one child, New Hampshire State Police said.

They were taken to Portsmouth Hospital for treatment.

Ten children were taken to Exeter Hospital for evaluation, officials said.

Police said all injuries were non-life-threatening.

Police believe everyone was wearing a seat belt at the time, which prevented more serous or widespread injuries.

The children were being taken to a water park in Candia, New Hampshire, according to officials.

Officials with the Kittery Community Center said they are aware of the bus crash and are busy handling parent phone calls. No additional info was provided.

Investigators said the driver of the bus had a medical incident at the time of the crash.
