PORTLAND, Maine - An Aroostook County man who killed two people and shot three others during a violent rampage in 2015 is appealing his sentence.
38 year old Anthony Lord pleaded guilty last year two counts of murder, two counts of attempted murder, multiple counts of aggravated assault, reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon, theft of firearms and eluding an officer.
A charge of kidnapping was dismissed.
Lord's attorney, Andrea Manthorn, said proper procedures were not followed when he was sentenced. She argued that Lord did not qualify for two concurrent life sentences because of the nature of the murders.
It's not known when the justices will rule on the case.
