Yesterday, State Police responded to Clayton Lake Township for a report of a single vehicle crash.
51 year old Cedric Pelletier of Sinclair was operating a 1996 Ford dump truck belonging to Robert McBrierity and Sons of Fort Kent (with a plow and sander) on the Realty Road, when he went off the roadway and into the Ross Stream crossing of Clayton Lake.
Pelletier was located in the truck and had sustained a head injury and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police say that the accident is still under investigation and it appears a medical issue prior to the crash may have contributed to Pelletier traveling off the roadway in the river.
Clayton Lake is located approximately 65 miles west of Ashland in the North Maine Woods.
