FORT KENT, Maine - Fort Kent Fire Department honored one of their own for more than 40 years of service to the community.
Speaking at the annual ball, Chief Edward Endee recognized Bob Plourde, who is retiring, for his dedication to his family, neighbors, fire department, community, and his country.
Bob joined the fire department August 10th, 1978, and has served with honor and distinction. He's been an officer, an instructor, and a mentor to younger firefighters. Bob also served his country with the Maine National Guard for 20 years and thank you for your service, Bob.
Senator Troy Jackson presented Plourde with a Legislative Sentiment for his more than 4 decades of service. Town Manager Suzie Paradis says she has much admiration for Plourde and his family, and presented Plourde with a token of appreciation for all he's done for Fort Kent. Plourde resides in Fort Kent with his wife, Anne.
